Trigonometry (and a bit of PreCalculus)
Mr. Grant teaches Summer School Trigonometry each year. It is a 3 week course for 4 hours a day, giving the required 60 hours of instruction. Trig gives students one semester's credit of HONORS high school math and fulfills the prerequisites for AP Calculus the following year. To enroll in the class, students MUST have taken, and passed, Algebra 2 the year prior OR failed Trigonometry the previous year. Although Trigonometry does not officially cover the PreCalculus curriculum in Washoe County, we usually have enough flexibility to touch on the most important PreCalculus topics (such as sequences, conics, and limits) at the end of the 3 weeks so that students are fully prepared for Calculus. Please feel free to use the resources below to supplement your learning in Trigonometry.
If you are navigating here curious about the planning and pacing, this Summer School course is designed as follows. We meet for 4 hours a day for 14 days (the 4th of July is off). A typical day is split into 2 lessons, with each lesson approximately 2 hours in length. If you want to adapt this to your own classroom during a traditional semesterlong course, perhaps consider splitting each lesson into two pieces. If you want Word Document files of each lesson, please email me.

The Review is also below. It is organized by Mastery Goals, as will be the test. As a reminder, you are graded individually on each Mastery Goal. Your test score is a composite of each goal. When retaking a test, you only retake the Mastery Goals on which you scored below a 70%. The test itself is comprised of both multiple choice and free response. There is a calculator active portion, as well as a noncalculator active portion.
