Lesson 1 - Derivative Rules Review

Welcome to BC Calculus! We start with a review of AB topics, specifically derivatives today. The first page is a list of your derivative rules which you should have memorized last year. Memorize them again if you forgot over summer. The next two pages are practice multiple choice questions for derivatives. Some are hard, some are easy, but you should try to show work. Feel free to work together as needed! The answers are included at the end of the PDF.

Lesson 2 - Integration Rules Review

In Calculus AB, you learn several techniques for evaluating integrals. Today is a review for you. Remember, or re-learn, how to do u-substitution, split a fraction, complete the square, and divide polynomials. The answers are included if needed.

Lesson 3 - Fundamental Theorem of Calculus & L'Hopital

We conclude our review week with a few important components of both limits and integration. First, you revisit the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Second, you practice combining L'Hopital's Rule with the FTC. Lastly, practice with the Definition of the Derivative. These are all concepts which are used on the AP exam, and students need to be familiar with them!

Lesson 4 - Integration by Parts

The general idea for Integration by Parts is that we manipulate the product rule to find an alternate way to calculate integrals. It allows us a pseudo-product rule for integrals, and also gives a way to integrate natural log. This lesson is split into three sections, with Monday intended for Section 1, and Tuesday for Sections 2 - 3. Good luck!
